Beautiful mermaid with a palm frond as her tail, raffia, coordinating seashells, starfish and pearls adorn where her back meets her tail and where her hair is pulled back. The wood board is stained gray and white washed. Next, bubbles and coordinating seahorses are added (along with fish n2et if requested) If you'd like her to have another color hair, skintone, tail or shells, just ask. I'd be happy to paint her any color you'd like.
The background wood is 16" wide and 28" tall with her tail extending slightly further (each palm frond is slightly different but I try hard to find palm fronds that are very close in size)
The first few times I painted the palm frond style I used a 10" wide board and allowed the fis to extend further (as shown in the green and purple pics) I've improved how I paint my mermaids as I've done more and more and found the wider wood and added starfish, pearls and seahorses really adds a lot to the overall feel. I wanted to show another color scheme so I included pics showing the original 10" width.
