Whenever possible we use recycled and sustainable materials. Wood that's been aged outdoors has gorgeous texture plus it's a way to give new life to the recycled wood without taking the life of more trees. The boards are 3 feet wide x 2 feet tall and washed with 2 shades of gray. Next, an octopus is hand painted using a lovely aqua acrylic paint with a slightly lighter aqua on the tentacles and darker aqua for the suckers. I seal all of my coastal decor so they can hang outside (Direct Sun will fade any paint but I use multiple coats to try and slow any aging) Lastly, a sawtooth hanger is attached to the back so you only need a single anchored nail to display. I included a few pictures of other coastal creatures I paint using the same colors and gray stain so they all coordinate. They can be created in any size if you have size requirements. I also included pictures of octopus I've painted Tuscan teal and another teal with aqua tentacles, mandalas and orange coral. This style can be created in any color palette and size as well.
